REST

A Retreat  for Black Women

What’s your relationship with pausing, with resting?

What’s your relationship with stillness, silence & solitude?

If your body could talk, what story would it tell? Are you in captivity to activity?

Do you help others to the detriment of your health?

How has code-switching and imposter syndrome impacted you?

What practices do you incorporate regularly to
invest in your rest?

Are you too busy being busy?

Do you feel guilty resting?

ASK YOURSELF...

Dr. Kristen Guillory, as featured on NBC, Fox, CBS affiliates, and in Forbes is an entire vibe! She is an international speaker,  mental health professional, transformation, speaker, and breakthrough coach. With her rare and special gift, Dr. Guillory has the ability to see beyond what you are saying, and a lot of the time what she sees in Black women is that we are beyond tired.

Dr. Guillory is the author of Look, Stop Hiding: How to Find Your Voice and Never Dim Your Light Again and Walking Through the Fog: Holding Onto Hope When You Can't See the Sun. She has also been a professional development training for over 15 years with her most requested topics being Self-Care and Compassion Fatigue. With her experience, she has trained over 20,000 people in over 200 trainings with brands such as Ford, Walmart, AT&T, The Urban League, many school districts, universities, and churches.

Before becoming an award-winning entrepreneur, Dr. Guillory was a university professor and therapist who relocated to the beach to set her life up as a vacation. She believes in leaning into ease, and helps people to walk in freedom with no more code-switching or imposter syndrome. She's also known as the queen of self-care....but it hasn't always been that way.

Dr. Guillory believes in fun, the power of movement, and showing up in all of our sauce!

When people say Black women have to work 3 times as hard, her response is:

"Thank you for sharing but that has nothing to do with me!"

Danielle Anderson is a national speaker, wellness advocate, 200-hour registered yoga teacher, and full-spectrum birth & bereavement doula that helps Black women move out of “survival mode.”

Danielle is passionate about wellness and has had the opportunity to share her passion at retreats, national conferences, and in books. In essence, Danielle helps Black women move from surviving to thriving by teaching wellness practices that support their whole health - spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical. Her hope is that we, as Black Women, would experience more life to the full and become agents of healing in our circles of influence.

Danielle has supported several organizations with Trauma-Conscious Signature Wellness Offerings, including The Lady Hawks, Reach Records, Kids Across America, Truth’s Table, and Abide Women's Health Services. As a group fitness instructor, she holds specializations in pilates, group cycle, TRX, and prenatal fitness.

Outside of the gym, Danielle enjoys reading books, listening to podcasts, and watching movies. She and her husband, Tedashii, live in Atlanta, GA with three beautiful and energetic sons.
